The seminar was inaugurated by Mr Ricky Chan, FHKI Executive Deputy Chairman. It then transitioned to a series of insightful presentations on discussing key criteria for the awards, reporting strategies, carbon reduction experiences and green financing support for SMEs from five distinguished guest speakers. These included Mr Vincent Lau, Senior Consultant of Hong Kong Productivity Council, Mr Richard Lin, Project Leader of Carbon Management Guidebooks for Hong Kong Industries, Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality at Hong Kong University, Mr Dixon Kwok, Managing Director of York Joint Design & Construction Company Limited, Ms Chloe So, CSR & Sustainability Manager of Meiriki Japan Company Limited and Mr Neo Lau, Assistant General Manager of the Commercial Banking Department at Bank of China (Hong Kong).
The Environmental Leadership Awards was organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd. since 2015.
"BOCHK Corporate Low Carbon Leadership Award 2025” is now open for application. The awards received nearly 1000 applications last year.
The awards feature two major categories: " EcoPartner " and " EcoChallenger", with a total prize exceeding HKD 230,000. All companies operating in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area region are welcome to participate. To encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to actively engage, gold, silver, and bronze awards have been added in the manufacturing and services sectors, with a total prize value exceeding HKD 70,000.
The Environmental Leadership Awards has always aimed to promote corporate low-carbon transformation and lead the industry towards a sustainable future. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, and it will continue to uphold its original mission, deepen its green impact, and work hand in hand with all sectors to assist Hong Kong in achieving a green transformation!
